Tonight I laughed so hard I cried. First, it was the amazing bird watching guide. Then, it was the T-Pain mic set. But wait, there’s more. A zebra-striped snuggie wrapped in a Sham-Wow! cloth. Pretty cool, huh? I thought so, until I saw the Star Trek flask.
It was a night of nights all around, this year’s annual McBru holiday party and white elephant gift exchange. Surrounded by some of the funniest, smartest, most stellar people one could hope to know, let alone work with, enjoying plenty of bubbly and some truly excellent catering, a good time was most certainly had by all this year.
In the midst of unrealistic deadlines, maddening last-minute changes, and sometimes unreasonable demands, I am grateful to spend my days with an amazing group of people who are, by and large, unflappable, flexible, nimble, know their worth, and remember to laugh frequently. I am one lucky woman. Oh, and I managed to snag the Star Trek flask, too.
Life is good.
