Communications Counsel
As a communications counsel for McClenahan Bruer Communications (McBru), Whitney facilitates, strategizes, and executes influencer relations as well as social media for her B2B tech clients.
A New Orleans native, Whitney began her career at a New Orleans-based public relations firm, Bond PR and Brand Strategy. Among her clients there was Build Now, a non-profit homebuilder founded post Katrina. Whitney promoted the company’s brand through traditional media relations and grass roots campaigns to raise awareness, increase home sales, and inform current and potential homeowners who suffered damage or loss from the storm.
Most recently, Whitney was an account executive at LANE PR where she specialized in financial and tech focused public relations. Amongst her most notable accomplishments was Whitney’s ability to build valuable, trustworthy relationships with key influencers, resulting in consistent media coverage for her clients.
In her personal life, community connection and involvement has always been a priority. As such, she is on the board of the Portland charter of Rebuilding Together, a national non-profit with a network of more than 200 affiliates that provides free rehabilitation and critical repairs to the homes of low-income Americans.
Whitney earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations and psychology from Tulane University.
